The other day I was talking to a friend about how things are going lately. She says, “I just wish I had been able to get more done over the holidays.” She went on to tell me about three projects in her house, how she hadn’t started putting together the pictures for the poster board she is making for her son who is a senior in High School, and then added how she just started dating again and it’s quite the ordeal to learn these new dating apps. I stopped her and said, “So let me get this straight. You have three home projects, extra stuff you’re doing for your kid, and you are dating actively, yet you’re upset you didn’t get more done over the time you had specifically set aside for the holidays?” She recognized my therapizing ways and told me to shut my pie hole, but she got my point.
What in the actual HELL?!? Why do we expect this much of ourselves? And why don’t we get it when we are on the verge of burnout, that our continued choice to go at life at 100 MPH is the reason we are dragging so much? I’ll tell you why…take a listen this Vlog and learn more.
